It’s official! We’re one of Dribbble’s three global Meetup Sponsors for the year. Head over to Dribbble’s blog to read the official announcement.
Last year, we signed on as Dribbble’s official meetup sponsor and it allowed us to meet with talented and innovative web designers from all over the world. In Toronto in particular, we’ve helped to build up one of the largest Dribbble communities, and we want to continue to do so at home and all over.
We're also excited to work closely with Dribbble's co-founders Rich Thornett and Dan Cederholm. Here's what Dan had to say about our partnership:
"We first teamed up with Shopify back in 2012, with our Equipment Shop. Their service was exceptional, and they made a real effort to learn about who we are and what we do. When they found out about our Dribbble Meetups, they not only threw one for us, but also came aboard as 2014's Global Meetup Sponsor. We had a bonkers year – 125 meetups in 58 cities in 24 countries," he said.
"We couldn't have supported all of our amazing organizers around the world without Shopify, and that's why we're thrilled that they're joining us again in 2015." - Dan Cederholm, Dribbble co-founder
Dribbble is all about supporting the show-and-tell of designers’ work – helping them learn from one another, grow in their craft, build out their graphic or web design portfolio, and even earn clients. Many of our Shopify Partners are designers that can (and do) benefit from the open collaboration that takes place through Dribbble.
We had so much fun hosting our “Design is…” Dribbble challenge last year, and it turned into one of the most playoffs successful ever. You can expect more where that came from in 2015.
Our most recent Dribbble x Shopify Toronto Meetup saw 300 designers come together for three epic design battles. We can’t wait to continue to build this community, so stay tuned for news of our next Dribbble Meetup!
